LaSource is a Global Sales Agent to RML Group and its new Le Mans Hypercar-inspired GT: the 911-based P39. For more than 40 years, RML has provided the engineering genius behind some of the automotive industry’s most ambitious projects. Not simply a small engineering firm or restoration business, it is a full turn-key OEM-grade design, manufacturing and engineering powerhouse, and now all of that experience comes to bear in the creation of the P39.
RML’s vision for P39, our definitive take on a Le Mans Hypercar-inspired GT car, was clear: to deliver an uncompromising blend of all-round performance without sacrificing refinement. Leveraging our 40-year motorsport and engineering heritage, we have created P39 to achieve record-breaking performance while maintaining exceptional ride quality, ambiance and everyday usability. The result? A jet-speed, carbon bodied GT which shrugs off long distance drives, yet transforms into a precision-handling track weapon
when the mood strikes. Many cars aspire to be the ultimate GT – only the RML P39 lives
up to that promise.
On Road
One of P39’s greatest achievements is its ability seamlessly to adapt to different driving environments.
Unlike many specialist performance cars, P39 does not require the driver to suffer a cramped, noisy environment in return for improved track manners. Rather P39 maintains the base car’s already compliant ride, thanks to extensive chassis and suspension tuning. Equally, a full range of bespoke options inside and out allow owners to tailor their cars to their exact tastes. The RML P39 is a car designed to be driven – and enjoyed – everyday in all conditions. From mountain to motorway, B-road to Broadway, P39 consumes them all with ease and poise
On Track
P39 becomes instantly more animated and urgent when it arrives at the racetrack. Active front and rear aero, including a driver-activated drag-reduction system (DRS), directly dial P39 into attack mode.
When in its lowest suspension setting, P39 develops more downforce than a Porsche 992 GT3 RS*.
Handling is further enhanced by P39’s race-spec 20-inch front and 21-inch rear lightweight wheels.
Power delivery is optimised by a finely tuned Inconel exhaust and can be increased via optional engine upgrade packages (see below). Allied to the painstakingly developed chassis and suspension, P39
sets a new performance GT benchmark.
RML P39 40th Anniversary Special Edition (40SE)
Created to mark RML Group’s four trophy-laden decades of racing and road car success, P39: 40th Special Edition (40SE) turns everything up to eleven. All P39s have a range of bespoke options, but the 40SE takes that one step further. Limited to just 10 units, the 40SE features the optional Track Pack and maximum Performance Package as standard. Then adds a special bespoke interior featuring unique 40SE detailing
and upgrades. The finishing touch is a special 40SE-only paint colour option: RML Ruby Red.

Why James chose to add RML to the LaSource Collection
Ray Mallock founded RML Group in 1984, a motorsport and engineering company based in Northamptonshire, UK. The company has been involved in numerous racing series, such as the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), and Le Mans Series. Latterly, and now managed by his son Michael, RML Group has embarked on multiple turn-key “white label” vehicle engineering programmes, including the McLaren Senna GTR and is a true engineering powerhouse.
It is no secret that I am of the view that the restomod sector will see considerable growth in the coming years, but that not all restomod manufacturers are equal – there are a couple of articles in the Magazine if you’d like to learn more.
RML’s techinal capabilities are first rate. Their deep understanding of engineering cars to comply with global homologation standards, along with all the requisite simulation and testing facilities to validate those requirements, ensure they are able to build well engineered cars, to appropriate safety standards whilst delivering an exhilarating driving experience.
